About

Dylan Culhane is a Waikato-based illustrator, designer, web builder and visual storyteller working through Culhane.nz.

His work sits somewhere between design, drawing, storytelling and practical problem-solving. That might mean building a website, shaping a logo, drawing a custom illustration, helping a project find its visual identity, or creating tools that make it easier for people to share their work.

For Two Ranges, Dylan has helped bring together the visual direction, website, logo development, story layouts, livestream support, sponsor tools and the small digital systems that sit behind the scenes.

The style of Two Ranges needed to feel local rather than corporate — more field note than marketing brochure, more old map and gorge track than generic template. Dylan’s work has helped shape that direction: paper textures, ridge lines, green tones, local-history cues, story blocks, and a site built to support Tom’s videos, finds, walks and gorge stories.

Through Culhane.nz, Dylan works on:

  • websites and WordPress builds
  • logos and visual identity
  • illustration and custom graphics
  • graphic recording and visual summaries
  • project pages, creative portfolios and digital tools
  • design support for community, creative and local projects

He is especially interested in work that has a bit of story in it: local projects, community mahi, creative ideas, small businesses, training resources, maps, places, people, and projects that need a clear visual shape.
